Miri on the island of Borneo is the birthplace of the petroleum industry. Don’t let that put you off, however. Of course, you also need to see the ‘Grand Old Lady’, Miri’s first oil well and one of the world’s largest Taoist Temples – Lian Hua San (Lotus Hill) Temple. Oh, and the beaches are rather special too! Borneo’s second city has plenty of excitement, and activities to keep you here. So, make sure you pass through Miri before your next adventure.
